...And I'm back!

I know it's been a while since I've written any content.  I sincerely apologize for that, and really need to up my game here! I really just need to shake it out of me! I was browsing blogs and came across the lovely Shannon from Champagne at Shannon's. This post really got me inspired to write again.

I will catch you up on what I've been up to the last few months, and what's to come in the near future!

Over the past few months I've really focused on my website and online shop <<If you haven't already heard it's called Showered With Design>>
I branched out, bought a domain, and now run both my Etsy shop AND my own online shop. My online shop offers much more than my Etsy shop does. From boutique baby items to jewelry to glittered drink-ware. I can truly say that I LOVE what I do, and am so excited to bring more in the future!

My husband and I recently started a whole "Eating healthier," "Start workout plans" yada yada.  I wish I had more to tell, but we literally just started yesterday. With summer and river season just around the corner, and our bad habit late night eats, we both knew we needed to change our ways. We wrote a list of things to buy from the store, started including healthier ideas, without going too overboard.  We aren't "cutting" things out necessarily, but more-so portion control.  Our menu for the first few days so far:
  • 1 slice whole wheat toast with peanut butter and 1 banana for breakfast
  • 1 hard boiled egg, 1 avocado, and 1 cup of cottage cheese with tomato slices for lunch
  • Monday: Chicken Breast, Steamed Broccoli, 1 Cup of carrots, and 1/2 Cup cottage cheese
  • Tuesday: 3 oz. Steak, Grilled Corn, Sliced tomatoes
  • Wednesday: Chicken breast salad, with corn, tomatoes, cucumbers, with Italian dressing.
I know implementing healthier options is going to give us the jump start to feeling better. I already notice that I feel much more satisfied not stuffing my face full, but really portioning out our food.  I already eat pretty slow and that helps me get full faster.
We will be working out too! (Which I haven't done in quite some time-- Embarrassing, I know.) Stay tuned!

What are your healthy habits, go-to inspirational sites, social media outlets to help keep you on track?

  1. I'm right there with you on the eating healthy/working out front. I was doing pretty well until Easter and it's been pretty down hill from there. I'm sorta dreading going back to the gym Monday, but I know I'll feel so good afterwards. I'd love to hear of more recipe ideas you have. Good luck to you both!
